Roman Catholic Credibly Accused Clerics
That Served In Cherry Hill

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Camden issued a statement this week that detailed the names and assignments “of 56 priests and one deacon of the Diocese of Camden who have been credibly accused of sexual abuse of minors.”

Those named include the following individuals that served the Roman Catholic Church in Cherry Hill Township and are now deceased:

  • Joseph Barber, Camden Catholic High School, Cherry Hill

  • Claude J. Bender, St. Thomas More, Cherry Hill

  • William B. Cannon, Queen of Heaven, Cherry Hill and St. Pius X, Cherry Hill

  • Gerald P. Clements, Camden Catholic High School, Cherry Hill

  • Vincent A. Doyle, St. Mary’s Nursing Home, Cherry Hill

  • Francis J. Flemming, St. Peter Celestine, Cherry Hill

  • Edward Gillespie, Chaplain St. Mary’s Nursing Home and Manor, Cherry Hill

  • Charles P. McColgan, St. Thomas More, Cherry Hill

  • Francis J. McLaughlin, St. Peter Celestine, Cherry Hill

  • Joseph Orsini, Camden Catholic High School, Cherry Hill

  • Peter J. Osinski, Camden Catholic High School, Cherry Hill

  • Timothy E. Pisik, St. Thomas More, Cherry Hill

  • Dennis J. Rigney, St. Pius X, Cherry Hill

  • Brendan V. Sullivan, Camden Catholic High School, Cherry Hill

  • Patrick J. Weaver, St. Mary’s Parish, Cherry Hill

Those named include the following individuals that served the Roman Catholic Church in Cherry Hill Township and have been removed from the ministry:
